In Partnership with PXG Golf we are thrilled to welcome all players to the 1st Northumbrian HIO Pairs played over three of the finest courses in the UK, The Roxburghe, Goswick Links and Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Clubs and classed as one of our “Majors”.

Put your golfing skills to the test with outstanding scenic views of the North East Coastline and challenging course design make this an unforgettable golfing experience. All three courses are ranked in Top 100 Golf Courses.

The event is open to all Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Pairs

* To participate in any HIO Pairs Event all players must have a WHS Congu Handicap or iGolf Handicap. Please Note: You do not have to have scored a Hole in One to enter our pairs events*

Our Northumbrian Salver Pairs Champions will qualify to play in the National Pairs Playoff Finals for an all expenses trip to the HIO-Club 2026 Grand Final at TPC Sawgrass.

The Hole In One Club are delighted to announce this must play pairs event, with 1 Round over The Roxburghe, 1 Round over Goswick Links and 1 Round over Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Clubs.

The Golf Courses

Goswick Links Golf Club
Founded in 1890, Goswick Links is an authentic seaside links located along the beautiful Northumberland Coastline, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, halfway between Newcastle and Edinburgh and just south of the historic market town of Berwick-Upon-Tweed and the England/Scotland border. It affords sensational views of the North Sea, Holy Island and majestic Bamburgh Castle.

This James Braid masterpiece is one of just 15 courses selected by the R&A to host regional qualifying for The Open Championship. Golf World ranks it as one of the top 100 links courses in GB&I and National Club Golfer rates it among the top 50 courses of all kinds in England. Its pure fescue fairways deliver a lively bounce and its greens roll fast and true all year-round. This is an absolute must-play for any golfer and we are delighted that Goswick Links will host a round for the Northumbrian Salver Pairs.

The Roxburghe
The Roxburghe Championship Golf Course was conceived by The Duke of Roxburghe, an avid golfer who commissioned Dave Thomas to design and construct the unique golf course with spectacular Scottish Border views on the Roxburghe Estate.

The course was opened in 1997, and the result of Thomas’s design bears his distinct hallmark of well positioned bunkers and large USGA rolling greens. The wide fairways of the course follow the natural contours of the landscape and, make full use of the many changes in levels . The signature hole is “Viaduct”, an elevated tee commanding superb views over the River Teviot that hugs the left of the fairway with an imposing viaduct across the horizon.

The Challenge Tour – DP World Tour are visiting The Roxburghe in 2025 only weeks before the Northumbrian Salver HIO Pairs so the course will be in outstanding condition for our event.

Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Club
Sitting in the shadow of the 14th century Dunstanburgh Castle, the course wraps around the magnificent Embleton Bay, recently voted the best stretch of coastline in Britain.

Designed by Open Championship winner and renowned course architect James Braid, Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Course offers a true test of links golf with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the clubhouse, a visit that will live long in the memory.

The Victoria Hotel – Bamburgh
Set on the delightful village green and overlooked by the magnificent Bamburgh Castle. The hotel offers exceptional standards, where you will experience a personal service and a warm welcoming atmosphere. Please read the following booking conditions carefully, they form the basis of your contract with HIO Events Limited and set out our respective rights and obligations.

All hotel and room upgrades are subject to availability at the time of booking.

A £200.00 deposit per amateur player will secure your team place in to the event with a further the final balance due on or before the 1st March 2025.

Upon receipt of entry a written confirmation will be issued.
It is your responsibility to make sure you have individual insurance cover and if our company incurs fines or surcharges as a result of your negligence you will be responsible for reimbursing us accordingly.

We accept responsibility for all parts of the event as described in our literature and agree to supply such to a reasonable standard. We accept responsibility for the acts and omissions of our employees, agents, suppliers and sub-contractors (providing at the time they were carrying out work authorized by us). Except where loss and or damage to luggage or personal possessions are concerned, we highly recommend that personal travel insurance is obtained prior to the event to cover such damage. We cannot be held responsible for the condition of golf courses because of maintenance or climate, we will try to keep clients informed of the up-to-date conditions.

In the unlikely event of a complaint please notify us immediately, most issues are easily resolved whilst you are on an event. If the matter is not solved to your satisfaction then please write to HIO Events within 28 days of your return, we will not accept liability after this time.

You may cancel at any time but the instructions will only be valid if we are notified in writing.
