Strandhill Golf Club opened in 1931 and extended by the great Eddie Hackett in the 1970’s, Strandhill offers an unforgettable golf experience along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. The beautiful surroundings can be round on few other courses around the world. The par-70 layout at Strandhill Golf Club serves up a unique taste of links golf, set amid the beautiful sand dunes. Be prepared to bring your best putting game, the greens here are devilish and will require the deftest of touches. The range of interesting and challenging holes keeps golfers guessing whilst still offering a fair but stern test of golf, the ideal start to our Pairs Tournament.

Situated in the North West of Ireland, our outstanding links course is one of the longest in Ireland and Europe. It has been described as the “Muirfield of Ireland”, similar in terrain with two loops of nine holes, the first nine an outer loop and the second nine an inner loop running in the opposite direction. The course offers unsurpassed beauty and tranquillity that is almost impossible to find in the modern world.

This world-famous golf course at County Sligo Golf Club offers an excellent challenge. The traditional links layout is over 100 years old, and boasts a magnificent backdrop of the Ben Bulben Mountain range. The Colt Championship course utilizes the natural contours of the dune-covered landscape creating a rugged feel throughout the layout. As a result, the course is filled with dramatic undulations, elevated tees, and raised plateau greens which combine together to create both a dramatic and challenging test of golf. A regular host to the West of Ireland Championship, County Sligo will provide a fitting finale to the Atlantic Coast HIO Pairs.
