Open Experience HIO Pairs 2025 – Royal Troon and Prestwick Courses

With the excitement of the 152nd Open Championship at Royal Troon Golf Club building we are delighted to offer the opportunity to play in the Open Championship HIO Pairs in 2025.

The event will be played over the iconic Royal Troon Golf Club home venue to this years Open Championship and Prestwick Golf Club the birthplace of the Open Championship.

* To participate in any HIO Pairs Event all players must have a WHS Congu Handicap or iGolf handicap.
Please Note: You do not have to have scored a Hole in One to enter our pairs events*

Our winning pair over 36 holes will qualify to play in the National Pairs Playoff Finals for an all expenses trip to the HIO-Club 2026 Grand Final to TPC Sawgrass.

The Hole In One Club are delighted to announce this must play event, a 36 Hole Pairs Event with 1 Round over Royal Troon  and 1 Round over Prestwick Golf Club.

Royal Troon Golf Club

Founded in 1878, Royal Troon has grown from boasting five holes to becoming a world renowned links golf club, where the Old Course is part of The Open rota.

Located in South Ayrshire, just 45 minutes from Glasgow airport, the course is separated from the Firth of Clyde beach by raised sand dunes and is a traditional out and back links course.

The first and last golf club in the world to be granted Royal status under the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, Royal Troon takes pride in it’s championship Old Course, measuring just over 7,200 yards.

From start to finish this is as fine a test of golf as you’ll find anywhere in the world, with the most famous hole being the eighth or, as most know it, the ‘Postage Stamp’. At just 126 yards, it is the shortest on any of the Open courses but there have still been many disasters there over the years. Will you be able to negotiate it.

Prestwick Golf Club 

Prestwick was founded in 1851, and developed under the stewardship of Old Tom Morris, who was pried away from St Andrews to be Keeper of The Green, Club and Ball Maker.

Golfers heading to Prestwick Golf Club are assured a truly historical experience at one of the finest links golf courses in the UK. As the original location of The Open Championship, it is a golf course that features amongst many bucket lists and must visit golf destinations.

Whilst the golf course has a connection with one of the originators of golf in Old Tom Morris, Prestwick has received praise from modern major championship winning greats including Tom Watson, Mark O’Meara and Ernie Els with testimonials such as “the best golf experience in the world…”.

Accommodation Options
We have not included accommodation in our package price as Troon offers a variety of accommodation options, Hotels, B&B’s, Budget Hotels and AirBnB’s to suit all players budgets. The most local to the Links is the 5* Marine Hotel overlooking Royal Troon Golf Club. The Gailes Links Hotel is a modern hotel with a contemporary restaurant which sits just 10 mins from both courses. Booking Conditions

Please read the following booking conditions carefully, they form the basis of your contract with HIO Events Limited 2024 and set out our respective rights and obligations.

A £400.00 per person deposit payment is required to secure a place into the event. Refunds will be offered if you need to cancel before this stipulated cancellation date (1st February 2025)  The Hole In One Club will refund all monies if the event is unable to go ahead. If the format of the event has to be changed you will have the option of continuing with your booking

Upon receipt of entry and deposit a written confirmation will be issued.

We accept responsibility for all parts of the event as described in our literature and agree to supply such to a reasonable standard. We accept responsibility for the acts and omissions of our employees, agents, suppliers and sub-contractors (providing at the time they were carrying out work authorized by us). Except where loss and or damage to luggage or personal possessions are concerned, we highly recommend that personal golf/travel insurance is obtained prior to the event to cover such damage. We cannot be held responsible for the condition of golf courses because of maintenance or climate, we will try to keep clients informed of the up-to-date conditions.

In the unlikely event of a complaint please notify us immediately, most issues are easily resolved whilst you are on an event. If the matter is not solved to your satisfaction then please write to HIO Events within 28 days of your return, we will not accept liability after this time.

You may cancel at any time but the instructions will only be valid if we are notified in writing.

Prior to 1st February 2025 – Nil

After the 1st February 2025 – 100% Full Amount
